Tuesday, April 20, 1847 William Frances Matlock
William Frances Matlock was born. Lured to Alaska from Oregon by the gold rush in 1897, Mr. Matlock established the Skagway Brewery. Even though the territory was technically under prohibition. It was one of severn breweries started in that year. He died August 31, 1914.
