Christian C Sommer was born. In 1874 at the age of 27 he founded a brewery in Perry Ohio. In 1877 he passed the responsibilities off to his brother John. who in turn passed ownership of the brewery to his brother-in-law Henry Christian Kropf. The brewery closed in 1882. Christian Sommer died on May 15, 1897.
