Saturday, January 3, 1846 George Reisch
George Reisch was born in Sangamon County, Illinois. His father, Frank Sales Reisch, was the founder of the Reisch Brewery in Springfield, Illinois. When the elder Reisch passed away in 1875 the company was reorganized making George and his brothers the officers. They continued brewing as F. Reisch & Bros. until 1893. George Reisch died on July 20th, 1936 at age 90 years.
