Leonhardt Heinrich Rieger was born in Stuttgart, Germany. In 1881 he partnered with William Gretz to form the Rieger & Gretz, Tivoli Brewery in Philadelphia. After he died onthe 13th of March, 1910, his widow sold his partnership to William Gretz.
