George C K Schmidt, son of Chicago brewer Kaspar George Schmidt, was born in Chicago. Steeped in the brewing industry his whole life he would go on to preside over the K. G. Schmidt Brewery in Logansport, Indiana. He died on January 1, 1939 at age 69 years.
