Fredrick C. Raasch was born in Austria.  He and his wife Maria emigrated to America and in 1854 purchased a brewery from Joseph Hussa in Watertown, Wisconsin.  He ran the firm until 1867, selling it to the partners Frederick Kading & Frederick Strehlow.  Raasch died on the 18th of December, 1873 at the age of 57.

Carl Friedrich Hermann Strehlow was born in Brandenberg, Germany.  He emigrated to America in 1851 and became a farmer in Jefferson County, Wisconsin.  For a time he was a brewer at the Rock River Brewery in Watertown.  He died on the 29th of November, 1883.
