Friday, January 4, 1901  

William Treadwell Van Nostrand, proprietor of the Bunker Hill Breweries, passed away age 80. He is first to take the issue of other breweries imitating "P.B." Ale to the Massachusetts Supreme Court to preserve the right and ingrity of his brew. This sets up and maintains trademark rights on packaging and the contents therein.
