Patrick Cummiskey was born in County Longford, Ireland. In around 1870 he opened a retail liquor dealership in Lowell Massachusetts. A few years later he became the Lowell agent for Eldredge's Portsmouth Ales. He died on October 26, 1887 at age 54.
