Friday, January 10, 1834   Amelie Kutscher

Today is a good day to remember Amelie Kutscher (née: Schiecholz), who was born sometime in January, in 1834.  Amelie's husband Frederick Kutscher was a brewer in New Haven Connecticut.  When he died at age 50 in 1878, she took over the brewery and ran it ably until 1884.  Amelie died on August 11th, 1887.  She was 53 years old.
