Fredrick C. Raasch was born in Austria. He and his wife Maria emigrated to America and in 1854 purchased a brewery from Joseph Hussa in Watertown, Wisconsin. He ran the firm until 1867, selling it to the partners Frederick Kading & Frederick Strehlow. Raasch died on the 18th of December, 1873 at the age of 57.
