Description

This can was unsuccessfully test marketed in March 1955 in St. Louis and Newark. The lack of enthusiasm is understandable: The Busch Lager can was an uninspired well-worn theme. The brewery had simply tweaked the color and style of the Budweiser can. Five months later the design team unveiled their new creation. In August 1955 the Busch Bavarian can was tested in the Kansas City area. The new package was a hit, and must have been something quite unique on the beer shelves of the Midwest. Blue sky, snow-clad mountains, ski chalets, The scene struck a chord with Kansas City on that hot August. Busch Bavarian Beer would eventually become a popular beverage worldwide.
