Matthew, John and Jacob Dick established their Dick & Bros. Brewery at 9th and York Streets in 1857 Renamed Dick & Bros., Quincy Brewery Co. in 1888 Also did business as the Dick Brothers Brewery 1888-1920 Closed by Prohibition in 1920 Issued U-Permit number ILL-U-765 allowing the production of alcoholic beverages 1933 Reopened as the Dick & Bros., Quincy Brewery Co. in 1933 Renamed the Dick Brothers Brewing Co. in 1937 Closed in 1957 Current status of the building is unknown. |
